“Little Red Riding Hood” by The Brothers Grimm

Nicely illustrated by Bernadette Watts. The Grimm’s version with the hunter torturing the wolf instead of killing him tells a lot about early nineteenth-century esthetic and moral sensibilities but could be easily spared for contemporary children, without loosing the clue of the story.
