Seven mice

Like “Seven Little Mice Go to School”, this book is also very nice. Seven little mice face another crisis, and again their wise mother emerges from a shadow with an excellent solution, and saves lives. One skit, but nicely told, and illustrated. I really like this unobtrusive Japanese “feminism,” or matriarchy, if you wish…

“Seven Little Mice Go to School” by Haruo Yamashita

Illustrations by Kazuo Iwamura. Very sweet book, and very Japanese message: a collective confronting a monster always wins. I recommend.
